What are the ingredients used in Tooth Mousse / Tooth Mousse Plus?

Tooth Mousse Plus: Pure water, Glycerol, RECALDENT (CPP-ACP), D-Sorbitol, CMC-Na, Propylene glycol, Silicon dioxide, Titanium dioxide, Xylitol, Phosphoric acid, Sodium Fluoride, Flavoring, Sodium saccharin, Ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate, Zinc oxide, Propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, Butyl p-hydroxybenzoate.


Contains: RECALDENT (CPP-ACP), Hydroxybenzoates and soybean products.

Can Tooth Mousse / Tooth Mousse Plus substitute toothpaste? 


Tooth Mousse / Tooth Mousse Plus does not replace the function of a fluoride toothpaste and should be applied after tooth brushing.

Are Tooth Mousse / Tooth Mousse Plus vegan?
 

The active ingredient in Tooth Mousse /Tooth Mousse Plus, RECALDENT (CPP-ACP), is the protein derived from cow's milk. Therefore, Tooth Mousse /Tooth Mousse Plus is not a vegan product.  

Are Tooth Mousse / Tooth Mousse Plus lactose-free?
 

GC Tooth Mousse and GC Tooth Mousse Plus contain RECALDENT (CPP-ACP), a cow’s milk-derived protein. While no measurable level of lactose can be detected in RECALDENT (CPP-ACP), there is still the possibility a trace amount is present (test tolerance is defined <0.2%).

Tooth Mousse / Tooth Mousse Plus are certified Kosher.

Who can use Tooth Mousse?

Tooth Mousse Plus contains RECALDENT (CPP-ACP) and 900pm of fluoride and is recommended for people who want extra protection for their teeth. It is particularly useful for people with braces and aligners and those who experience acid reflux (or GERD). More information here

Tooth Mousse contains RECALDENT (CPP-ACP) and is recommended for people of all ages who want extra protection for their teeth.

How do I use Tooth Mousse with aligners?

1. Before use, rinse the custom tray thoroughly under running water.

2. Squeeze a generous amount of GC Tooth Mousse into the tray and apply to the upper and/or lower teeth.

3. Leave the tray undisturbed in the mouth for a minimum of 3 minutes.

4. Remove the tray.

5. Use the tongue to spread the remaining GC Tooth Mousse throughout the mouth. Retain for as long as possible (an additional 1 – 2 minutes), avoiding spitting out and swallowing.

6. Spit out and avoid rinsing. Any remaining product on the surface can be left to gradually dissipate. Do not to eat or drink for 30 minutes following application.

7. Any residual GC Tooth Mousse in the tray should be rinsed or brushed off under running water immediately after use.

What is the pH of Tooth Mousse / Tooth Mousse Plus?

Tooth Mousse has a pH of 7.8, while Tooth Mousse Plus has a pH of 7.2.

Does using Tooth Mousse interfere with the efficacy of tooth whitening?

There are numerous studies which conclude that using Tooth Mousse in conjunction with carbamide peroxide does not affect the efficacy of bleaching. Please contact us if you would like further information regarding the relevant studies. 

Is the glycerol in Tooth Mousse derived from vegetable oils or animal fats?
 

There is no presence of animal fats in Tooth Mousse. Glycerol in Tooth Mousse is derived from plants, and propylene glycol is a chemical composition.   
 

I am allergic to peanut. Does the product contain peanut or any ingredient derived from peanut? 

Tooth Mousse does not contain peanut. Machinery used to produce Tooth Mousse do not process other products containing peanut.

Does Tooth Mousse / Plus contain corn?

Corn is not an ingredient of Tooth Mousse.  However, we cannot guarantee the absence of corn as a trace impurity due to extracts from natural sources.

Does Tooth Mousse / Plus contain whey?

Whey is eliminated during the manufacturing of casein, Tooth Mousse should not contain whey. However, GC has not tested the presence of whey in the final product.

I am allergic to tapioca. Does the product contain tapioca or any ingredient derived from it? 

Tooth Mousse does not contain tapioca. Machinery used to produce Tooth Mousse do not process other products containing tapicoa.

Avoid the use of GC Dry Mouth Gel in patients with known allergies to hydroxybenzoate. Avoid contact with eyes: in case of contact, flush immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. Anyone who is taking prescription medications should consult a doctor before using GC Dry Mouth Gel. In rare cases, GC Dry Mouth Gel may cause sensitivity in some people. If any such reactions are experienced, discontinue the use of the product and refer to a physician.
